Quality Improvement Reporting
Reportable incidents must be reported in accordance with the process set out by the director designated under section 38 of the Continuing Care Act. The actions taken to address the incident must also be documented and reported to the director.
Notes
- Standard 20.4 refers to reportable incidents as defined in Standard 20.5 that are reported to Alberta Health. The reportable incident form and criteria can be found on-line at http://www.health.alberta.ca/services/continuing-care-forms.html
- There is also a requirement to report incidents under the Accommodation Standards. The reportable incident form, decision guide, examples, and process can also be utilized in reporting incidents under those standards.
