Client Safety
Client Safety
Client Safety is defined as the reduction and mitigation of unsafe acts within the healthcare system, through the use of best practices shown to lead to optimal patient outcomes. Client safety requires a holistic approach to the client care, by involving an interdisciplinary team, as well as the client and his/her family as part of the decision making's team.
Contact
Accurate and timely information must be provided to all parts involved in the client care to enhance the best outcomes. We must enable and encourage the client to speak freely about their wishes and clarify any question and concerns. When everyone knows what to expect when 'something goes wrong' we can work together to look at the circumstances and context of the situation.
These resources are applicable to all Care Streams unless stated in the title of the document.
